REVIEWS
Live
2-track recording of an Italian gig from their recent European jaunt. The
sound quality is a lot better than would be expected, in a medium-fi kinda
way, and it sounds like one of the shows where the band actually plays the
songs instead of self-destructing. Sounds pretty reminiscent of when I saw
them a couple weeks ago. Great versions of "Wild Man" and "Jack the Ripper"
plus two more. Scum stats= Limited press (400 copies), less than one
hundred of which appear to be on urine colored vinyl. Surprisingly
worthwhile.

Just what
you'd imagine from a wild
live recording of the most insane band on earth at the moment. Lucky for
us, they hit all the chords on this, and the recording come out GREAT.
It's got that 'fallin off off a cliff while still trying to keep the beat'
sound that guarantees these guys are the real deal. So crude, vile, and
primitive, even the SWAMP RATS are getting worried. What holds it all
together is the fuck-all bleeding insanity that this band creates and feed
from. Three well-know rock'n'roll covers and a unreleased track,
"Working", that rolls you on over with ease. Exceeding our expectations,
yet again, thank God for the BLACK LIPS.
